Red Vs. Blue Team Sim
This project is dedicated to the Rowan Cybersecurity club.
Goals
This project has three main goals:
- Standardize a system in which to build a gamified learning experience
- Build a curriculum to support the usage of this system
- Prepare students for collegiate level cybersecurity competitions like the NCCDC
The overall goal of this project is create a well documented process, system, and gamified rule set for cybersecurity students to learn and practice both red and blue team operations in simulated practice environments. Ultimately this project, while built around hardware available to us, should be completely hardware agnostic and could reasonably be done with a decently sized budget. This is to support future club activities when current students and staff building this program may not be involved.
The second goal of this project is to have an end goal for the club curriculum to build to. While the infrastructure can and will also be used in the curriculum, the curriculum will stand separate from the overall system design.
Lastly, the final goal of this project is to prepare teams for collegiate level competitions where students are asked to defend or compromise systems in a variety of different ways. This is in preparation for competitions like NCCDC, or CTF style competitions like the NCL.
